Phosphorosaurus is an extinct genus of marine lizard belonging to the mosasaur family. Phosphorosaurus is classified within the Halisaurinae subfamily alongside the genera Pluridens, Eonatator and Halisaurus. Stratigraphically, Phosphorosaurus only occurs in the Maastrichtian stage of the Late Cretaceous.
