The American crocodile is a species of crocodilian found in the Neotropics. It is the most widespread of the four extant species of crocodiles from the Americas, with populations present from South Florida, the Caribbean Islands and the coasts of Mexico to as far south as Peru, Venezuela and Columbia in Northern South America. The American Crocodiles are also an Endangered Species. There have been records of them being huge. The Largest American Crocodile can reach up to a length about 20 FT. Making them one of the several Largest True Crocodiles in the World and one of the two Largest extant species of crocodiles in the Americas.
